Rob Walker had a great article in the Sunday NYT about the re-birth of dead brands. He focuses on companies bringing back Brim, Underalls, Salon Selectives, and Eagle Snacks:

The whole article is fantastic -- Walker is an excellent writer, writing in a field that really piques my dilletantish imagination. His Murketing blog is on my daily read list and I read his Consumed column every Sunday right after I finish the puzzle. I can't wait to read his upcoming book, 'Buying In: The Secret Dialogue Between What We Buy and Who We Are.'
