Favorite Waste of Time: Slo Mo Video
I just spent a half-hour looks at compilations of high FPS (super slo mo) videos, like the one above.
They're a little heavy on water balloons popping and guns being shot, but there is some unexpected beauty and a ton of "wow, cool" moments.

I'm getting a Casio EX-F1 in the mail today...I look forward to adding to the canon.
I'm not even a particularly morbid kind of person, but I've always thought this was one of the most beautiful scenes in a movie, for much the same reason that you're drawn to these videos.

Although, to be honest, I don't remember that much camera shake in the original, I'm guessing that came during the transfer to youtube.
Anyway, not sure if the video you posted got better or worse after the woman in bikini firing a machine gun :)
It's hard to get much better than Bikini Girls in Machine Guns (TM The Cramps), but the rest of the clip is pretty cool.
