Today's Comcast Update

Shockingly, it looks like the information Congressman Ron Buxton's office gave me was correct. This morning, when I checked my Comcast guide, I saw four new channels, 781-784. The channels are listed as "TBD," bu that's where GAME 11-14 should go; I'll check later today to see if games actually show up.

So if that's the case, it looks like Harrisburg, at least, will have all 14 channels once the NHL package ends. I'm not sure if there's been any improvement in Boston and elsewhere -- anyone have any updates?

Nothing promisng here. I have spoken with everyone in the organization, including the President of Comcast's assistant, and they still refuse to carry these channels. The good news, is that "The Consumerist.com" has published us!

I'm in Boston.....

Called the exec customer care line at Comcast and spoke to Maria Manning x55110. She said Comcast has no plans to add the channels 11-14. Maybe when the NHL playoffs were over they might do something but again no guarantee of anything. I asked again for a credit on the 159 I paid because only 70% of the service was being provided to me. Maria said they are not giving any discounts. She even spoke to her supervisor, no discount. She offered to cancel my sub and refund the entire price but nothing less of that.

They have these TEAM channels (601-609) in Boston that was showing NBA games. I was getting 4 of those channels for free when I signed up for EI this year. Last season they used those for any over lap in the MLB season. Asked if they planned to use those since Bball is over, again we have no plans of that. So to tell me they don't have the bandwith is the reason why we don't get games 11-14, but then to give me access to 4 free channels with nothing on them really makes sense?!?!

I hope they move games to these TEAM channels but I don't see Comcast making any effort at all to work with there customers on this issue.
