One Years Old

Hey, this blog turned one the other day! My first post was last December 17th, and since then I've regaled you with over 170 slices of my life, touching on everything from politics in Harrisburg to room service in Dubai. I was actually happy to see that many posts -- that works out to just about one every other day, and I guess that means I was doing a lot of daily posting early in the year since I've been absent so much recently.

I wanted to sincerely thank my dozens of readers, some of whom aren't even related to me, and take this opportunity to point to some of what I think was my best writing of the past year. Think of it as my extremely egotistical Christmas present to you:

* Mmmm...braciole...

* I really did not enjoy Dubai.

* Mushroom clouds on television: subconscious manifestations of our national psyche, or something much, much less?

* Remember those homophobic Snickers ads from last year's Super Bowl? Of course you do.

* Man, were the Oscars bad last year.

* Daylight Saving Time is just another way for the Man (aka the golf, outdoor cooking, and candy industries) to keep us down!

* Comcast sucks.

* The Evens rocked Scranton.

* I love pop music and covers.

* We lost our kitty, Flash, this summer.

* Fish On in Lewes, Delaware is awesome.

* On the 6th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, I shared our story of that day.

* The Lovely Wife and I loved Morimoto as much the second time as we had the first.

* My four-part series on cleaning up my music collection is available here, here, here, and here.

Have a merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year and check back in 2008!
